Enrico Castellani, Schwarzes Bild, 1959, Oil on Canvas, 62 x 80 cm. Museums Morsbroich, Leverkusen Inv.-Nr.3152, Acquired1960
The Museum Morsbroich holds an outstanding collection of artworks spanning from the 1940s to the present day. Due to a lack of space for a permanent exhibition, the majority of the collection is stored in the museum’s depots.
With the Showroom, we open the depot and offer you a rotating insight into the collection rather instead of a fixed permanent display. The decision about which artwork is shown in then Showroom is not made by the curatorial team – it’s you.
You can select one of the artworks stored on the shelves by using the artwork-cards and reserve it for a personal preferred date with the staff at the front desk. The selected artwork will then be presented on the wall for you for six days.
You can find the current selection here:
We look forward to your next visit and wish you an inspiring time with your artwork!
